I probably have the problem sleeping because I'm used to being awake at night for my job. So when I'm off work I usually have one night that I can't sleep. And this is the night, I guess.

Extremely busy weekend for me, even by my standards.
It started with Thursday, Mary's birthday. Went to the movies. Saw Knowing. She loves Nicholas Cage. I was not impressed with the movie, she loved it. Fine. Then we went out to eat at Cafe Madrid, her favorite eatery. (Boy did I score big points that day). In addition, she got 2 gifts from me. The first was a new scrapbook machine they were selling on either HSN or QVC. Told her to go ahead and get it, it was the special of the day on Wednesday. Then I had a friend make a box to hold her colored pencils that she uses. She loved it.
Friday was supposed to be the start of Eddie't tournament, but it was rained out, so I go to do my baseball draft live on line. I enjoyed it.
Saturday morning I went to breakfast with some friends form the Texas Message Board, then I had a fantasy baseball auction that started at 11AM, and I was finished at 5:15. Mary picked me up, went right to the ball fields. (Mary was at the game earlier in the day that Eddie's team won 11-4) Saw Eddie's team lose a game 7-6. It was a good game. Then, they won the next game 8-2. )During this game, Mary and I were watching Alex and he accidentally hit her in the face with a baseball. Had a nice bruise on Sunday morning.) Went out to eat, then home to bed.
Sunday went to Sunday School, then to Penny's house to celebrate Mary's birthday. From there, back to the ball fields. Semifinals was against the team that beat them 7-6. This time we won, 8-1. Awesome defense, especially for that age group. There was only one strikeout. Everyone wa****ting the ball, but the fielders were doing their jobs.
Championship game was a very good game. It was 5-3 our favor after 4 innings. We started the 5th as time expired, but rules say we finish the inning. Well, we scored 5 runs in the 5th, giving us an 8-3 lead. Since there is a 5 run limit per inning, game over, the Stampede are the champs!!!
Then I had to get to work. Was one 90 minutes late. Glad I had PTO to use.
Sorry so lengthy, but, as you can see, busy, busy, busy.

George emailed me earlier saying the the Z's opening game is the 17th. We have tickets for the 17th and 18th, and can't use them. We made reservations two months ago at a nice hotel in the French Quarter to celebrate our anniversary (belated) during the French Quarter Festival. I asked if we couldn't go to the FQ Fest during the day, go to the game in the evenings, and back to the hotel. He said NO! I can't believe we're missing the season opening, it will be the first time in YEARS. We went the year I had brain surgery, we went last year after my thumb surgery. How can he let a little thing like the FQ Fest stop us.
We have tickets to the LSU / Tulane game tomorrow night! My BIL has tried to get tickets for the last couple of years and offered to buy mine at a much higher price than I paid! No way!
I am so ready for baseball!

This afternoon is the doctor's appointment. It is coming at a good time since I have such a sore throat. It doesn't hurt all the time but when it does it really hurts. I think I got the crapolla that Bill has. He loves to share with me. My voice is kind of cracking and I hope that I don't lose it. I am sure that on the other hand Bill is hoping I do.
This afternoon after the doctor's appointment I have to take Carol in for her weekly ultrasound and NST. I am going to ask her if I can come in for the ultrasound since I would love to see my grandson again. I haven't seen him since he was just a few months along. I know that he has changed since then....a lot! He is getting ready to be born and I am so excited. There is so much that Bill and I want to do with him when he gets older. Bill and I are already looking for fishing poles for him. I am sure that he will be sharing time with Grandpa doing his favorite past time. Grandpa is waiting for that day. Shawn has never cared for fishing so he needs to share that with Kayden. I on the other hand want him to become a reader. I love to read and I am waiting to take him to the library. That is going to be our special time together. Fish and books sounds like a winner to me. What do you all think? I am sure after all the tests are done I will have to get Carol her dinner. She is usually hungry after the tests. With the gestational diabetes she has to eat every few hours since her sugar goes down. When it goes down she gets a headache and very tired.......I am sure we all, pretty much know where she is coming from. When Carol gets tired so does Kayden and he just doesn't do anything but sleep and then they have a problem getting him to move during the NST. It is just one thing after another.
So I guess I had better go. I have been up most of the night and I think I am going to bed and try to sleep a bit more. I spent the night in the chair so what sleep I got wasn't very restful.
Have a wonderful Monday all and know that I am sending my love and hugs to all along with prayers for a great day for everyone. Remember to smile at someone today to help make the sun shine for them. I will do the same thing too so the whole world should be happy along with us.

got to see ricks grandson friday night!!!! OMG is he ever getting big!!! hard to believe he will be a year old next month already!!! he is almost walking and we had so much fun with him while he was over!!!! bandit loves him to death!!! he laid right by my feet "guarding" his people....lol he even let anthony pull his hair and not one growl at all!!!! good bandit!!!!!
bought a new digital camera...my old card works in it so i got to see some old pictures...saw spike and cried over him once more...saw my mom and cried some more...oh how i miss my mom!!! was hoping to go see her but with rick laid off work i am not sure when we can go see her....
talked with my sister the other day and she told me that gary fell after being pushed by an aide....he cracked his head open and had to go to hospital for staples to be put in...it was the side he just had surgery on too!! i guess his daughter filed a charge against this aide...hell i would sue her ass and get him out of debt and then some!!!! not sure what she will do tho....
weather here is chilly and we had a little snow over night...nothing big like they got out west!!! just wish spring would get here and stay for a change!!!!!
ricks ****atil has been laying eggs left and right!!! so far 7 of them in the last couple weeks!!! we don't have a male so no babies...thinking of having his moms male come visit....LOL not sure how to raise baby birds tho...
not sure if i mentioned my dentist visit or not last week...tooth was ground down some and now it seems to be better. other wise he couldn't find anything wrong with it...glad it is better!!!
been working all last week and man i am glad that is over!!! seems the woman that is in charge of giving me breaks and lunch is pissed at me for some reason or other...working from 8-330 all week and she gives me my break at 11 am then "forgets" me for lunch and i finally get it at 130 and then friday it was after 2!!!!! i was so pissed i didn't eat!!!! i never got my second break either!!! that i really didn't care about but she knows i need to eat my protein!!!! i wrote down the HR guys phone number and if it happens again i will call him and let him know what she is doing!!!! otherwise work i love!!! this week i am working 38 1/2 hours!!!! wooohoooo!!!! nice paycheck there for sure!!!!!
talked with phyllis saturday and she is on the road with her hubby driving truck cross country...right now they are in tennessee headed to pa. sounds like a fun thing to do but not sure if i could do it...but who knows...might try it someday....maybe rick can learn how to drive a big rig....
